Poker rules

There are many different types of poker. Most of them involve trying to get the best five-card combination to win the pot. And if your cards aren’t great you can sometimes win by bluffing, which makes the game all the more exciting.

The best-known type of poker is Texas Hold’em, which involves community cards. In the “no limit” version you don’t play against the bank, but against the other players at the table. Here, it’s not only the luck of the cards that determine the winner, but also the extent to which you can fool your fellow players by raising the stakes.

Other popular types of poker include closed poker (draw poker) and open poker (stud poker).

Why not try Stud poker?

Popular poker versions found at casinos include Caribbean Stud poker (also known as Tropical Stud) and Seven Card Stud, which - as the name suggests - is played with seven cards. These games are played against the bank with set limits.
